Matilda

Matilda, the astonishing 250 page book by Roald Dahl is a story of a five year old girl with the brain of a twelve year old. Her parents don't care that she is smart and are never home during the day therefore allowing Matilda to sneak out to the library. Once the four year old Matilda reads ALL the books in the children’s section, she reads adult level books like Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens, and Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. Then she comes across Ms, Honey her new teacher. Ms. Honey sees her intelligence and tries to move her up multiple grades but she can't. Ms. Honey acts more like a parent to Matilda than her own parents.

Ms. Honey sees Matlida’s brightness and tries to help Matilda. Mr. Wormwood Matilda's dad is a car dealer and cheats people by changing the mileages on all of the cars he sells from 100,000 miles to only 10,000 miles and teaches this bad example of honesty to his daughter. Ms. Honey gets books from teachers that teach more advanced classes to have Matilda read while she is teaching the class things Matilda already knows. This book is good for anyone who likes a book that leads up to a HUGE ending!
